Travel’s always held an air of romance for me.

Ever since I was a kid it represented everything I wanted: freedom, independence, and a total lack of constraints.

These days, just the thought of having an adventure lights me up like nothing else.

It’s a simmering kind of excitement, bubbling and gurgling away beneath the surface- distracting me from whatever I’m doing in the present moment.

It’s intrigue. It’s action. It’s possibility. It’s escaping the norm…it’s what life should be all about.

As you can tell- the prospect of adventure gets me all gooey-eyed! I love it.

So, I put together this list of my favourite quotes about adventure and love for anyone who feels the same way.

There’s a whole mish-mash of themes hidden amongst them.

But, generally speaking, they’ll make you want to have an adventure and/or go on one with someone you love! Enjoy!

It always amazes me how different people can have such different reactions to the same experience.

I hate the idea of settling.

This is actually the end of a much longer Pico Iyer quote, where they liken the experience of travel to that of love.

I totally agree. To fall in love and be travelling at the same time, then, is like getting all the love; it’s love-squared.

We’re all going to die.
